This week we have been fortunate to have beautiful weather. So, what do you do in Kansas, mid-February when the weather treats you to a few days of bliss? Go outside and enjoy it!!
Yep, because you know (as Kansans all do), that it won't last long. Hence the 40 degree drop today with snow in the state.

Now, that we're more or less forced to stay inside again, the kids have become rather creative. Observe Caleb's "play with food" display. I was going to get after him, but after I looked at the masterpiece all I could do was snap a picture:

And Katelynn admired as much as I did, before she threatened to eat it ;-)

I've been trying to get more video lately...

Ok, so I understand I'm a little ahead of the game on this one, since it's only the middle of February. But maybe, just maybe we are done with the snow?!

Today we took time to enjoy the warm sunshine on our skin. Amazing how long it has been cold, and how you feel trapped inside your house in these long winter months.

It's important, with days like today, to take time out of a busy schedule and enjoy the simple things in life...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hoping everyone has a lovely day and sharing it with the one's you love!

so tired...

We hope everyone is keeping warm in this bitterly cold weather we've been having. For our household we've been battling the inner cold with sore throats, runny noses and the dry but annoying cough. Hoping that we can use this weekend to recuperate and still enjoy the Super Bowl!

Go Packers!!

Snowed In

Due to weather conditions our family got a "Snow Day" and we've all been able to stay together indoors. This has been a blessing in disguise, because Monday was pretty hectic around here. To prevent getting any kind of cabin fever we've been trying to come up with ways to keep entertained. Here's some pictures of craft making and cookie baking ;~)

Happy Snow Day!
