Mommy "get-away"
This weekend was a fun weekend out of town for me! Tracie, a good friend, and I were able to go to Kansas City for a fun weekend away! We stayed with her husband's parents, who were wonderful hosts! I meant to get more photos of our trip, but it was kind of hard to remember to snap pictures when you're having so much fun shopping! We went to the Legends outlet shopping mall, and then went out to a late dinner at the Elephant Bar Restaurant. I highly recommend their Sweet and Sour chicken, with Garlic noodles! Delicious! While I was away Mark took the kids to a party, that friends of ours were hosting, for Eaglemed (where Mark works) families. I was lucky enough to get some pictures sent to me (that I will share) of the fun-filled event! The only pictures I have of my trip are of a Winery and Vineyard that we stopped by on the way home. They had fresh peaches, and some fantastic wines! I got a Blackberry Semi-Sweet wine that I'm anxious to open!
I was very excited to see Mark and the kids when I got home!

Caleb's sleeping patterns
I don't know if it's been all the swimming lately, or fun in the sun, but Caleb has adopted some new sleeping patterns! Most evenings, when Mark is working, we take him dinner at work. Well, somewhere on the way to taking him food we must enter a sort of "sleep zone". Caleb will start to nod off in the car and then he's out for the entire night! Tonight we made a stop to Walmart on the way home, and Caleb slept the entire time we were there, in the shopping cart. When he was very little we used to rock him to sleep-but it had to be rather "hard-rocking". I guess when he's tired he's tired, no matter where he is!
Play group
Every Thursday, throughout the summer, the kids and I have been going to a play group with other families from our church-Westlink Christian Church. Today, I decided to take a few snapshots of our play group (except Caleb wasn't there today, he's had swim lessons in the mornings this past week). Such a good group of kids!
Such cuties! Everyone is enjoying their lunch, and the time to play together!

Kansas State Wildcats
A few days ago, we became K-State season ticket holders again!
We couldn't pass it up. K-State University had season tickets on special for $99 a ticket. So, we decided to get a few tickets that are next to some friends of ours, The Haags. We thought it would be a great opportunity to see Bill Snyder in his first year back coaching the WILDCATS!
For anyone that knows us well, we are pretty big fans of K-State in general (take a look at our purple basement). Mark and I both attended K-State for a while, just at different times. Ever since, we've been devoted to making it to at least one football game a year, as well as a few basketball games. If you need some evidence of our K-State devotion, take a look!

Hello Blogger World!
This is our first time doing a family blog, and we are excited! So nice to share all of our memories, and day-to-day happenings with family and friends! We have had a wonderful Summer, filled with swimming, playing, and adventures. Within the next few weeks we have a few trips planned. On the weekend of July 25th we are heading down to Howe, OK to visit some good friends of ours, The Sullards. Then in the first week of August we are taking a trip with Mark's family to Table Rock, MO. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to travel and we're looking forward to it!
