4 is a fun number...

...4 years ago today, our family of 3 became 4 when this little bundle of joy arrived.

She made us all fall in love with that contagious grin.

And we knew they would be quite the pair.

She had no problem showing us her sense of humor.

Her "gummy" grin would make anyone laugh.

You've grown so much, our baby to little girl.

Coming into your own along the way.

Showcasing all your artistic abilities.

We can't wait to see what you do in this world, little girl.

Happy Birthday Katelynn!!

Look for pictures of our day's celebration coming soon...

a camping we will go...

TaDa~
Caleb is officially a cubscout!

To officially "break" him in, we decided to go out on our first family camping trip. And it was a successful one!

putting up the good ole Coleman tent...

taking in the gorgeous views of Lake Hartwell...

(even if the water line was incredibly low)

that's okay, it helped us find long lost seashells, well I guess lakeshells...

taking in some fresh fall air...

building a fire (pronounced in appropriate southern fashion)...

cooking on an open flame...

roasting marshmallows...

and enjoying each other in the peaceful natural setting that we should escape to more often...

and we will. we can promise you that.

because only in this setting does the moon shine brighter...

the husband stand prouder...

the kid's smile longer...

the squirrel's get friendlier...

and there's nothing like a cup of hot coffee to great the sunrise...
just footsteps away from where you rest your eyes.

Yes, we will definitely be doing this more often. It's a great change from the chaos of the day to day. You are able to focus on the ebb and flow of the water, wind and your breath. A great chance to get your bearings and center yourself on what really matters.

Life.
