a day with me

Today I did something splendid.

Something I will do again and again.

I went to my favorite town, Madison, and had a day date with myself.

I looked at antiques. Had a picnic outside. Had a chai latte. I wrote.

Something about Madison reconnects me with my old soul. And it's wonderful.

I will do this again and again. It feeds me in ways I cannot explain.

spring break in Kansas

I'll warn you, this post contains a LOT of pictures. But how else can we show how much fun we had visiting our family and friends back in Kansas?

We saw so many familiar faces, it was so nice to see everyone! It was also nice to experience some spring-like weather...

It burned down a few days after our visit...for the 2nd time in 5 years

We were even able to have the opportunity to visit the zoo...

Made us miss the beach...

We were also lucky enough to meet up with some family friends...
