Gameday

Hey Buuuullllddddaaaawwwgggg Fans!!!
Are you ready for some football?!

This weekend we're staying close to home. You may ask why. But all who bleed red and black know it's for Georgia's SEC opener against South Carolina. Everyone knows that our little town of Athens swells to host thousands of fans as they cheer on their beloved bulldogs. And this weekend is no different. We decided to get out and about, and see what this town's pride is all about.

Last night we ate at the famous Varsity restaurant, serving good eats for over 80 years. Walking through the swinging doors, you couldn't help but feel like you were walking into the past. The smells of burgers and chili dogs were thick in the air as smiling folks behind the counter yelled "What'll ya have?!".

We couldn't turn them down.

We have finally arrived to the anticipated day. After watching the parade of campers, and caravans of cars with their decked out Georgia decor flow in for the past several days.

We decided to go to the center of tailgaiting and overall Georgia madness.
The University of Georgia campus.
And madness it was.

We also walked in the downtown area where the red and black parade continued.
The restored Georgia Theatre.

Now we're settled back at home to watch our beloved team, and cheer them on for a win. And what doesn't compliment a Georgia game like Red Beans and Rice. Yeah, that's right. We're true fans now.

Go Dawgs!
