Happy Easter and other things...

So it may be a little belated, but Happy Easter! The kids had a good day and we found plenty of Easter eggs left by the Easter Bunny him(her)self!

This Easter was a little bittersweet, as Mark's last living Grandparent, Elton Lowry, passed away. We were fortunate enough to know him well as a Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. The funeral was this past Wednesday and it was nice to see all of the family and friends gather. He will be missed dearly.

A few photos from the beautiful Easter Sunday that we had:

Fast lane...

For some reason life has just been getting busy lately! I feel like we're riding in the fast lane! Caleb is racing along in Kindergarten with sight words every week and math assignments (I didn't realized how much they do in Kindergarten). Katelynn is keeping our new pup- "Bicky"according to Katelynn-running around. They are quite the pair! Mark is working hard at EagleMed with side projects, and is still able to keep up with his Comparative Religion class. I'm at a hospital 5 days a week, wearing either purple (for school) or blue (for work) and trying to adapt to less and less hours of sleep. I keep telling myself "two weeks til Spring break"!

We hope you all had a chance to celebrate the Saints win in the Super Bowl earlier this month!

New addition....

We have a new puppy in the Hain house! Her name is Nikki and she's 9 months old, and a german shepherd mix. She's been so good, and is already house broken and potty trained. We thought this would be a good time to get a dog (more on that story later), so we got her from the Kansas Humane Society! She was just irresistable! Here are some pictures...

Big "6" birthday, and other things...

On January 6th, Caleb turned 6 years old! My, how the years have flown. We celebrated by having many of his friends come to Pure Entertainment, a place where they could bounce, play games, and enjoy each other. They all had a ball-and we were grateful that so many kids came to help celebrate Caleb's big day =)

Lately, Caleb's new favorite game is Mariokart--we all love it! Better watch out-in 10 short years, this boy will be driving. Good thing he's getting in some practice now =)And the rest of our time has been spent getting ready for school. Caleb went back to school on January 4th, and Mark and I return on January 19th. This semester Mark is taking a Comparative Religions course online, and I am entering my 2nd semester of Nursing school which will cover OB/Pediatrics. Should be an eventful spring! I also got a job working at Via Christi as a Nurse Technician when I am available. This should present good opportunities to learn while on the job!

Also, Mark left for Nebraska this past Thursday for a conference to learn about more aspects of his job at Eaglemed. He is returning to us today, after a long weekend in the cold, snowy atmosphere of Omaha. The kids and I are anticipating his return!!
