just a few beach pictures

I would apologize and say don't mind us over here at the Little Things blog. We're just going to be picture-posting fools. But I know I don't really need to apologize...who doesn't love to look at pictures? Especially when it's people you love having fun in the sun.

So without further adieu...(keeping it classy over here), 4th of July pictures:

Our sand kayak adventure:

Someone got a little more brave this year around fireworks...

Overall, we call ourselves pretty lucky in that we are able to have the opportunity to enjoy making family memories. We hope everyone was able to have fun week out there. Pour something over ice and stay in the shade, my friends...

wow it's been a month

I just realized something was a little off. I scanned through the usual suspects. Then out of the corner of my mind, in between the orange cone work zone and pour me a glass zone it dawned on me, "you haven't blogged in a while!" Yeah, a month long hiatus. Y'all still with me?

We've been a little busy I suppose. We have been having fun, no worries. But fun yields to exhaustion and sometimes the couch just calls my name. Hmm, maybe I'll need to work on that. Until then, let me fill you in. That is, if it's not all crickets out there. But if it is, I get it. Crickets gotta crick.

Anyway...here's some updates on us. . .

My family and friends are so cool, they sent me sweet birthday well-wishes this year and made me feel special, as always.

We had a family outing day up in the mountains tubing down the "hootch" river. Sooo much fun! We'll be doing it again soon.

We went to a local farm and did some strawberry picking. Hot, but the sweet victory.

We celebrated Father's day by letting dad know how awesomely great he is. Because he's our super hero and we treat supers with oreo blizzard cakes from DQ. Mmmmmm

I went to a book signing and was able to meet one of my favorite authors Claire Bidwell Smith. Please check out her new book "After This." Such a great summer read! And such a genuinely cool person.

Katelynn and Lainey hanging out. We held the fort together while Caleb was gone this week.

Caleb, before scout camp.

After scout camp. He's home!!!!

That's about all for now. Salty waves and sandy feet will be gracing the page again soon. Gotta soak it up...

Have a great weekend!
