It may seem that our little household has been without much activity. I would dare to say the opposite is true, however we'll see what comes around the corner with baseball season quickly approaching. I will say we've been trying to conquer this floppy weather thing lately and get ourselves out of the house a little more.
Can we say, ready for spring??
Last weekend we had Caleb's cub scout Pinewood Derby Race. We've had a lot of scouting events lately, and this capped off a very busy February. The previous week Mark did a fabulous job running the pancake supper between classes and our illnesses. I am reminded again and again what a wonderful husband and father he is.
Here are a few pictures of Caleb's car and race this year...
He did very well! His car was much improved from last year's model and we are already making blueprints and plans for next year. Ah, the life of scouting...
This Sunday we got a wonderful glimpse of warm weather with temperatures reaching into the mid 60's. I'll try not to rub it in since Kansas got hit with a winter wonderland. We decided to take advantage and trek up to the North Georgia mountains. A premium spot for rest and relaxation.
That is, after a hike of course.
A wonderful time to soak up the scenery, nature, and each other. We had a great family day. Hoping for more of these once the warmer weather arrives.
"Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair."
Khalil Gibran
