One of my favorite pictures of Mark and the kids in the fall of 2009. We were going to the pumpkin patch in Wichita to pick out pumpkins and got to take a hay ride on the way.
We still have the tradition of going to the local patch here where we live now, they even have fun games and rides for the kids.
So many great fall traditions...
In case you haven't noticed, it feels like maybe life in general right now has taken some turns that make people, all kinds of people, angry or agitated at organizations, government and other people. Just putting out a big general blanket statement. If you know anything about me, I don't like to ruffle feathers. Ever.
So with that disclaimer, I'd like to remind everyone about a few things. Things that I try to remind myself, when I get frustrated when life makes those turns. Funny thing about life, it has gentle reminders. Things like...
-There is common good. Common sense too. And the common will eventually win out.
-The world is full of people. And we are but a speck in this great big world. And this world is a speck in this great big universe.
-Take time to appreciate each other. Embrace differences, and embrace change. Because both are inevitable. Appreciate and accept.
-When in doubt, be kind. We are all fighting battles of our own, and genuine kindness links us in ways that we were meant to be linked.
-Today is a gift. Smile. Life is beautiful.
"In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision."
