a day

Today, mother nature gave us a glimpse of spring with the temperature grazing in the 60s. It was beautiful. We had to set out and take advantage.

Today was also a day where I was tempted to take advantage of the extra day off and consult my long to do list, to keep busy. Life is funny like that. Instead of focusing on the good, the pure joy around us we think about what we can do to fill a void. In walks my husband. He and Caleb picked up trash on the side of the road today. Talk about inspiring. I want to be more like him.

An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.      -Martin Luther King, Jr.

I think we can all find ways to help out each other. Whether it be the lady in the grocery store who found my dropped money and returned it. Or taking an extra 10 minutes out of our day, picking up trash out of gutters. I am humbled by it all. What our two hands can do. What our hearts can do. We truly have no limits.
