These days we're finishing up our much needed beach getaway. It's an amazing feeling to be able to escape the world we live in, and go somewhere completely different. We are so grateful we have the opportunity to do so. In life, we have to reach that balance. And if we're lucky, we are able to find it in places with sunshine and warm breezes. Before we head back to reality, lets dig into sand and run among salty waves.
Let the kids be kids, busy building and destroying sand castles.
On a side note, our kids are always teaching me something about everything. Parenthood is funny like that. They are both so unique and different. And tonight, at the dinner table we had a deep talk about what makes all of us special. Each person with their own developing and changing talent and curiosity of the world around them.
This sums up some of these little forming personalities...
At the edge, feet wet and watching closely:
Jumping in, getting soaked from head to toe:

To top it all off, tonight we had a little walk on the beach at sunset. How many ways can I describe the perfection that is love and light from these two...
Their energy contagious. I wonder, how long can we keep this going. Can we ride these waves of gratefulness through the end of summer, into the crispness of fall, and lasting until the chill of winter? I hope so, we can only try our best to keep it going. Keep the brimming joy of time together, and play it out over and over in our heads when the going gets tough. Balance is never easy, but we forge on in an effort to marry the difficult with the easy. That's life, as it was meant to be. Without the two, we cannot seek the importance of it all.
