Okay here we go again. And I know what you're thinking..."oh no, here we go again??" Well, I am starting another challenge...
In the midst of our sacred Holiday Season- (BTW, you MUST check out Southern Living's holiday issue. Wonderful recipes and decorating ideas. Look here.) Anyway, we are approaching a very VERY stressful season. Why, you may ask? Well I know that Thanksgiving and Christmas are all about the togetherness, with a little bit of eggnog, a side of holiday cheer (ahem, rum) and hours of music and miles of lights...it can be a bit much. On ourselves, that is. Not to get all "health" on everyone, but studies show that we are most disastrous to our health this time of year. So, instead of sacrificing all of that just to have a lame but oh so popular resolution come January, let's do a little something different. Let's take my favorite approach: the preventative one. So, I invite you to join me for this challenge. To get more active and make more healthy choices this time of year where butter and couch sitting reigns. I'm not asking you to give up the goodies. Just incorporate simplehealthy choices in the midst of it all.
Bonus: I will be offering wonderful resources and information to provide encouragement along the way. This comes at a time that I find it most challenging to stick with my guns, and have a health conscience. And I figure what better time to get a little proactive, and make it fun at the same time. Who knows, we may find some long lost cucumber-carrot shake recipe along the way.
Just kidding....but I did freak you out, no?
And feel free to chime in with comments, tips, thoughts. We'll create a health-wise community this season.
Happy Health Holidays tips and tidbits...coming to a blog near you.
