a fancy affair

It's 5am. And I'm up, watching history in the making with the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I don't know if it's the long blood line of brit in me, or the fact that my own parents were married the same summer Prince Charles and Diana were married, but I felt I had to witness this occasion.

Just some random thoughts.

Hats are entirely underrated. After this wedding I have a strong urge to buy one that is more than half the size of my head.

In my opinion, a full orchestra, brass band, and boy choir should be present at all weddings.

What I wouldn't give to be living in England right now...did you know it's a national holiday and everyone is off work?

With 200 guests at my wedding I was a bundle of nerves, couldn't imagine what it must be like to have millions watching theirs. Especially for that much anticipated "first kiss".

On my wedding day, almost 8 years ago, I had my fairytale moment while also riding in a horse-drawn carriage after our ceremony when a little girl yelled out, "Mommy look! It's a princess!" Yes, little girl, that day I was :)

Congratulations to the Royal couple!
 The look.
