Hello Thursday Slump~
I don't know if it's the cloudy skies, the wind reminiscent of colder days, or the fact that I am so tired of school that I could roll it up into a ball and throw it into the next yard. Lately, I've been in a slump. So, when life gives you lemons....you make a long island ice tea (yes, that can have lemonade in it). I'll try and make the best of life as we know it, and put my feet up...

So, what does one do when they are in a mid-week slump? Read Kelle Hampton's blog of course. And she never let's me down, especially with this post: A Great Many Things
I can't tell you how many times I have struggled to find myself. I can give you a number of reasons why, all of which require me to go into more depth and detail than I am willing to at this point. Bottom line, I have always felt like I have to be in a certain "category".
Why can't you own high heels and a pair of chuck taylors at the ripe age of 27? I grew up on Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rolling Stones, but today can also be caught jamming to Death Cab for Cutie and Taylor Swift. I enjoy vintage furniture and antiques, with what my husband may call "pieces of crap", I uncover buried treasure. Which brings up another point, I'm a collector yet a minimalist. I feel alive in the presence of hustling, bustling city life but grew up amongst wheat fields and wide open skies. I relish in the presence of good literature and take every opportunity to interject big fancy words in every day conversation, "She was quite loquacious." Yet, when in the presence of Paula Deen must say, "it's butter ya'll!"
Yeah, call me what you want. Confused. Lost. A blubbering idiot. But, as pointed out, I can be "a great many things."

...have a little treat (no alcohol, promise)
....and let the kids have their fun.
| this was hilarious...Caleb made Katelynn a regular Sherlock Holmes with his hats :) |
